Quote of the Month

Continuing on the popular (well, with me anyway) series after DumbJon's excellent effort last month, this month's award slips in just before the clock strikes midnight. Its that man I'm probably the only man crosser than, that good old Devil, Mr, erm, Kitchen, with this little gem on the subject of the EU.

"I would like all of you to think about this every night before you go to bed: "if I vote Labour, LibDem or Tory then I am a traitor—to the Crown, to Britain and to the very concept of democracy—and I should be beaten like a pinata. For starters."

Utterly, completely true.

Mike Jericho Joins The Ranks

Which ranks? These ones. The ranks of those like me who, as Mike himself puts it, 'openly and freely admit that the attempt to bring Democracy to Iraq has been a dismal failure'.

I particularly liked this line:

"I propose that not a dime more be spent nor a drop more of western blood be spilled in seeking to make tame the savages who populate the region. It is a phyricc exercise which we can ill afford to indulge in."

I second that proposal wholeheartedly, oh my yes I do.

What angered him off so? Mike was writing this in response to this Telegraph article.

"Thousands of jubilant Iraqis looted the British military base in Amarah yesterday, only a day after the Army pulled out of the camp. Everything from doors and window frames to corrugated roofing and metal pipes was pillaged from Camp Abu Naji, previously Britain's only permanent base in Maysan province."

Great. Note the 'jubilant' part. Sounds kinda familiar doesnt it - what's with this Arab compulsion to steal everything that isnt nailed down?

"The Queen's Royal Hussars had departed Camp Abu Naji on Thursday, taking up new positions in the desert and marshes near the border with Iran. The British stressed that the redeployment was a tactical move, not a withdrawal. But this was not how Iraqis viewed it. As news spread through Amarah that the British had gone, locals rushed on to the streets shouting "God is great" and drivers sounded their horns in celebration.

Hundreds gathered around the local offices of Moqtada al-Sadr, the radical Shia cleric whose followers had fired 281 mortar rounds and rockets at the camp, to offer their congratulations. A loudspeaker repeatedly broadcast the triumphant message: "This is the first Iraqi city that has kicked out the occupiers." "

Got all that? We are not the liberators, even though we spent years and hundreds of millions of pounds (perhaps billions) protecting these bastards from Saddam with the no-fly zone and then removed the man who had oppressed them for decades from power. No, we are the 'Occupiers' who have mortar shells and rockets fired at us and then respond with truncheons and riot shields.

Such overwhelming gratitude, you BASTARDS.

"First indications of what would follow came a few hours later as a crowd gathered outside Camp Abu Naji. Iraqi soldiers positioned inside the base dispersed them with shots into the air.
But the following morning a mob of between 2,000 and 5,000 returned, hundreds of them armed with machineguns and rocket-propelled grenades. After sporadic fighting the Iraqi troops retreated to a corner of the camp as the base was stripped."

So that policy of NOT disarming/imprisoning/wiping out al-Sadr and his murdering lunatics when we had them pinned in Najaf and instead letting them go to murder again has really worked well for the West then. All that time, all those dead British troops, all those squaddies who risked their lives to come home to the hate of 'our' Muslim population, all those resources - and within a single day of leaving our friendly 'house-Iraqis' to take control they fold and let the enemy take over control again.

There is no purpose to us being there any longer. I remember when the idea of regime change was first mooted watching a hilarious BBC 'debate' on the subject, hijacked as usual by a bearded pundit who clamed that 9/11 was actually carried out by Mossad and the Jews, the Jews control the media blah blah blah. What also stood out was a moment when a monumentally smug Islamic 'academic' from Bradford or some other blight on the British landscape informed the audience that no matter how we debated, however hard we tried to bring democracy to a country such as Iraq, it was 'incompatible with the tenets of Islam'. I was appalled at the statement at the time, but now I know why the bastard was so smug.

Because he was right, and he knew it too.

A Small Note To The Lebanese People

I don't know Irwin Graulich. But I think I like him. He is apparently President/CEO of his own rather successful business, so isnt in the position of, say, the unfortunate Inigo Wilson where he can be fired for not exactly expressing the 'right' viewpoints.

Mr Graulich hits things rather succinctly on the head with his diatribe to the Lebanese, and frankly sets the ground which I rather feel we ought to have been fighting all along about the 'conflict' in Lebanon and Israel (I do not call it a 'conflict in Lebanon'). And I say this as someone who has posted extensively about Qana, perhaps to the detrimental exclusion of what should have been equally extensive commenting the morality of both sides in the actual 'conflict' itself.

Mr Graulich, you have pretty much covered it from my point of view, even if the pitiful PM Olmert didnt exactly live up to your expectations. Thanks for saving me the typing time.

Those Poor, Innocent Lebanese By Irwin N. Graulich August 4, 2006

Let me get this straight. You allow one of the largest terrorist organizations in the world to set up shop throughout your country. You permit them to completely take over the entire southern third of your country and you claim to have seen nothing. You allow the terrorists to build sophisticated, fortified bunkers and you did not see any heavy equipment building them. You allow the Hezbollah terrorists to move into many of your towns and villages, including the complete takeover of one of the largest neighborhoods in Beirut, where they proceed to build numerous, complex command and control centers ... and you claim ignorance.

You allow the terrorists to store weapons, bombs and rockets in your basements. You turn a blind's eye when they carry arms into your restaurants, stores and buildings. Yet you call yourself an "innocent civilian."You sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas. You sleep with missiles, you wake up dead. You watch the parades with hundreds of thousands of participants including children screaming, "Jihad. Death to Israel, Jews and Americans," burning American and Israeli flags. Goose-stepping soldiers with Nazi-like salutes receive your cheers--and all of you "innocent civilians" did not see a thing (even though you were captured on videotape). There are giant posters of the rubenesque terrorist leader, Hasan Nasrallah, all over Lebanon with headlines declaring the imminent destruction of Israel. Yet you choose to elect this terrorist
party to your government--and all of the so called "innocent Lebanese" do not know anything about anything.Twenty thousand rockets and launchers are shipped into your country along with other military equipment by plane, truck and ship, and the government industrial complex knew absolutely nothing; and neither did all those "poor, innocent civilians" who are now crying.

The Lebanese "knowingly allowed (aka aided and abbetted)" murderous terrorists to proliferate in their sovereign nation. Like spoiled teenagers, they now refuse to take any responsibility. Of course there are some truly innocent civilians, but there were hundreds of thousands of beautiful German babies and mothers in Dresden and Berlin who were blown to bits. If an attack emanates from your country, the entire country is responsible. That is how life works. Sometimes it is unfair.I hate when people lie to my face and expect me to believe
their vile fabrications. Does the Muslim world really think that the vast majority of Americans are that foolish? Only the quislings at CNN like Larry King, Nic Robertson, Wolf Blitzer, et al will fall for this Joseph Goebbels-style propaganda. The confused, immoral left and their paper of record, The New York Times only see "innocent civilians throughout Lebanon." Europe, that moral bastion which gave birth to Nazism, will look at photos of men, women and children in despair, without putting the image into its proper context. Yet countries like Sweden, Switzerland and Ireland, who could not decide whether to support Hitler or Churchill during WWII, can drum up the moral authority to criticize Israel today. And leave it to Vichy, France 2006 headed by Jaques "Petain" Chirac to condemn Israel's response.

Seeing television snippets of wounded or dead Lebanese with people sitting on the ground crying and calling them all "innocent civilians" is the same as looking at a photograph of the armpit of Christie Brinkley and saying, "Here is the photo of a supermodel. Isn't she beautiful?"

The armpit picture is only a part of the story. When human beings see babies or mothers hurting, no matter what, we feel the pain. If we saw baby pictures of Charles Manson, we would want to cuddle him.We cannot look at photos of so-called "innocent civilians" in a vacuum. It is important for all "moral, decent" human beings to realize that the compassion emotion is similar to the sex emotion. Often times, it interferes with truth, logic and morality. Listen up, all you "Innocent Lebanese along with your innocent, Hezbollah supporting government." Do you want to know why your towns, villages and cities are smoldering? Do you want to know why 800,000 people are homeless and 600 are dead? Do you want to know why your infrastructure
is devastated?

The answer is: The Jews are simply not going to pack up their little valises and walk into gas chambers again. The Jews will not be taken from their homes and marched into the Mediterranean Sea by Nazis or Hezbollah-Hamas-Syrian-Iranian, Nazi-like sympathizers. The Jews in Israel or anywhere else are just not going to allow themselves to be shipped away like you dream about every day. Attention all radical Muslims throughout the entire world and Jacques Chirac. The Jews will not be walking into death camps or graves ever again, and if you dare try it, Qana, Tyre, Nabatiyeh, Bint Jbeil, Kounine, Beit Yahoun, Rashaya, Baalbek, Majdel Zoun, Ayt-a-Shab, etc. will all look a whole lot worse than Dresden and Berlin. And Beirut may in the end become hotter than Hiroshima.Attention Lebanon--your country is smoldering because Jews are sick and tired of being murdered. You keep pushing those
pathetic, weak, Torah studying Jews by using terrorism and kidnapping soldiers and all, yes all, of Lebanon will be smoldering.

I urge any person that will be having dinner with Sayed Hassan Nesrallah, the big fat brave man hiding in his little rat hole while his fighters are being picked off like little olives on a tree, to make sure his life insurance is fully paid. Nasrallah is just a pimp for Iran, sending out his Hezbollah terrorist hookers to "screw the Jews." The amazing thing is that Iran is not an Arab country. They should not be involved in the Arab-Israeli conflict. They do not border Israel, so there is no Iranian territorial dispute where they claim, like everyone else, that Israel occupies their land. Yet, Ahmadinejad's (pronounced--"a mad dog on Jihad") hatred for Jews and Israel rivals that of Adolf Hitler. It is no wonder that the Iranian president feels this way. Israel is supreme in virtually every area--technically, militarily, scientifically, culturally, morally and religiously. Each attempt by macho Muslim/Arab countries to destroy Israel has been met with a totally devastating, humiliating defeat. Like Saddam, the skinny little Ahmadinejad aspires to be the big hero of the Muslim world.

Ahmadinejad should not be deluded into thinking that he will get off as lightly as the Lebanese. He does not comprehend is that Israel will not use a tongue depressor when they capture him and his associates. Should Iran dare make one wrong move on Israel, Israel will simply "Beat the Shiite out of them!"

Who Needs Those Highly-Trained Anemones Anyway?

Pop Quiz before I get onto an account of our luverly London trip later kidz:

Who dya think would say the following?

"The NY Times is no more biased against Israel than any other US paper, and has no more of a tendency to plaster negative news about Israel all over the front page than any other US paper. It's only a target for idiots like moderndayknight because it's a newspaper of record and it reports news items that they dont want to hear. It's never good policy to shoot the messenger, or as I like to call it "pulling a Saddam Hussein" (who was famous for shooting anyone who brought him bad news)"

"I dont know jack about the british media but the US media, including AP and reuters (which is half belgian), does not have an anti-israel agenda."

"Pointing out something I know for a fact...that there is no institutionalized anti-israel conspiracy in the media, is always helpful to Israel."

"EU Referendum, for its part, probably did as much harm as good. by their own admission they blew the AP and Reuters people off when they asked to talk to them and took a confrontational attitude that most likely made them less than inclined to play ball and remove the photos."

"EU Referendum was not exactly a huge help posting this stuff and implying AP was intentionally deceiving people. the blog post was not considered a "smoking gun". the theory was not verified until some german news agency ran footage of green helmet stage directing the whole thing and taking bodies out of ambulances.I have experience dealing with both reuters and AP in israel. they pride themselves on accuracy and are solid companies. if you can make a solid case that their information is not credible they will remove it from the wires. always. hell if you talk to the actual reporters in the field they'll correct it before it ever hits the wires."

(emphases mine)

So, guesses? How about a senior Foreign Office Official? Guardian Journalist? Kofi Annan? Kathleen Carroll of Associated Press? Green Helmet Guy?

No. A " 'highly-trained, vastly experienced' pro-Israeli activist'. "

As the saying goes, with friends like these...oh, and he told them all to vote Kadima as well. What an utter tool.

Save The Children - Officially Judenfrei

Via Stephen Pollard, it seems that Save The Children are now taking their 'impartial charity work' to a rather different place. Yes, Save The Children has made itself, by its own admission, officially Judenfrei. The reason? No, not that they are choosing to emote over Arabs rather than those pesky Jooooz who cause all these 'humanitarian crises' by refusing to allow people to murder their civilians at will, but because 'Israel has systems in place' to deal with such matters as dozens of Katyusha and Qassam rockets being fired into their cities at random.

The message? Its OK to violently target children of 'certain' religions in 'certain' countries as long as they have 'systems' in place - but not others. Oh, wait - apparently the UK doesnt have 'systems' in place either, in fact there only seems to be one country where children regularly suffer 'dislocation' as a result of violence which does have these vaunted systems in place which exclude it from receiving Save The Children's largesse.

There is only one word for this, and its not one I like to use unless its clearly justified because it is probably the most overused one in the English language. But this is racism, in the clearest possible sense of the word, and should consign Save The Children to the evergrowing list of Leftist NGO's with an anti-Jewish and pro-Terrorism agenda which all of us should boycott forthwith.

Associated Press Lies Continue - 'Green Helmet Is Actually Just A Regular Family Guy'

In a truly astonishing anti-Israel propaganda piece, AP's Kathy Gannon embellishes the fiction that Green Helmet Guy is 'just a rescue worker'.

"I am just a civil defense worker. I have done this job all my life."

And not only that, he's a family guy as well. Awww...

Even after the Qana video footage showing him orchestrating the puppetry of bodies being moved to and from ambulances to give a better shot for the cameras, even after he tells the cameraman he isnt getting the right kind of footage, even after the 'civilians' of Qana are seen clearly following his orders and deferring to him almost fearfully, Associated Press are still telling lies.

The media is the enemy too. Never a truer word was spoken.

Nice Little Country You've Got Here, Prime Minister...

...we wouldnt want anything to happen to it, would we?

Yep, here are those good old 'British Muslim Groups', channeling Monty Python again...

"Prime Minister, As British Muslims we urge you to do more to fight against all those who target civilians with violence, whenever and wherever that happens."

Funny, you bastards didnt seem all that bothered about all those dead civilian Hindus not all that long ago. You know, 200 or so of them, 'targeted' by your co-religionists? No letters to the Prime Minister on that occasion.

"It is our view that current British government policy risks putting civilians at increased risk both in the UK and abroad."

Well you got that right. Having a group of hundreds of thousands of people who want to live under Sharia Law and who think bombing their fellow citizens is 'justified' in your democracy is definitely a dangerous, even negligent policy.

"To combat terror the government has focused extensively on domestic legislation. While some of this will have an impact, the government must not ignore the role of its foreign policy."

Damn straight. Supporting other nations under daily terrorist attack who actually fight back and kill terrorists as oppose to inviting them to help make policy might help with that.

"The debacle of Iraq and now the failure to do more to secure an immediate end to the attacks on civilians in the Middle East not only increases the risk to ordinary people in that region, it is also ammunition to extremists who threaten us all."

Yup, with you there. Except the resolution you want isnt one stopping attacks on all civilians, because you werent writing letters when the Paliswinians were launching daily rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip on Jewish civilians, and you certainly werent writing them when Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets ina single day against Jewish civilians. What you really mean is 'stop attacks on terrorists who deliberately surround themselves with civilians' in direct contravention of the Geneva Convention, not all 'stop attacks on civilians'.

"Attacking civilians is never justified. This message is a global one."

Well, yeah. Except your co-religionists, not the British Government, are the ones attacking civilians globally. Dont see that many letters being written to the various Islamic terror groups who have bombed, beheaded and murdered the civilians of literally dozens of countries in the past year.

"We urge the Prime Minister to redouble his efforts to tackle terror and extremism and change our foreign policy to show the world that we value the lives of civilians wherever they live and whatever their religion."

Fine. We'll start by doing a simple survey of every Muslim household in Britain and asking them 'do you think the 7/7 bombings were justified?'. Then we'll ship every one of them that says 'yes' off to a country where they can't do any further harm to civilians they don't like. Like say, the moon.

"Such a move would make us all safer."

Shocking how much we agree on isn't it? This must be that common ground thing all these 'Interfaith' groups talk about when they're not passing motions condeming Israel for existing.

Listen, you arrogant swine. Don't threaten my country, or even my weasel of a Prime Minister, loathe the man to my boots though I do. Those of us who arent nutball Islamists or Leftists using said nutballs as footsoldiers against our culture know exactly what needs to be done to 'make us all safer'.

And it isnt changing our foreign policy.

Every Single Thing You See Is A Lie - Updated

Smoking guns, smoking guns...ooopsy, looks like Germany's NDR TV station didnt get the memo about pretending the Qana pictures were for real. So there is the infamous Green Helmet (who now has a Blog of his own bless him), ordering the news agencies and cameras which insist the photos were all spontaneous and unstaged to take better pictures, and ordering 'rescue workers', several in the uniforms of the supposedly impartial Red Cross to take a body out of an ambulance so the photographers can get a better shot.

This really has blown the lie of Qana wide open. The man who features in at least half of the 'iconic' pictures of the 'massacre' and whom dozens of news agencies, TV stations and newspapers have insisted is nothing more than a miscellaneous aid worker who just happens to have turned up at least three different photo-ops in Qana, Beirut and Tyre is truly revealed as the Hezbollah puppetmaster who is pulling the media's strings.

Let's just remind ourselves what Associated Press said about allegations that every single one of these photos was falsely stage managed for the world:

“It’s hard to imagine how someone sitting in an air-conditioned office or broadcast studio many thousands of miles from the scene can decide what occurred on the ground with any degree of accuracy,” said Kathleen Carroll, AP’s senior vice president and executive editor. Carroll said in addition to personally speaking with photo editors, “I also know from 30 years of experience in this business that you can’t get competitive journalists to participate in the kind of (staging) experience that is being described.”

Riiiight. Well I wonder what Ms Carroll has to stay about this footage, the first unexpurgated video of these events that we have seen and which completely destroys the media's fiction that Green Helmet is just a rescue worker, and that the photographs of Qana's grief were in fact nothing more than deliberately stage-managed lies which every single media outlet present (except for NDR) willingly and knowingly participated in. They are ALL guilty as sin, guilty of lying to the world in order to aid terrorists.

Aish.com has a very good, dry summary of events (via Honest Reporting) which brings together disparate elements such as the Dead Man Walking, the Unluckiest Homeowner in Beirut, Adnan Hajj's efforts with Photoshop (and children's dummies) plus a very interesting collection of pristinely clean Disney memorabilia which seems to be randomly appearing in the dust-choked rubble (or something like that) that Israel is leaving behind in the wake of its raids.

LGF also has picked up on the Zionist Swing Of Doom, the children's toy which is apparently easily mistaken by 'careful fact-checkers' such as Associated Press and Reuters for an Israeli air raid. The poor kid falls off a swing, hits her head fatally and then becomes part of the meatgrinder of lies and deceit that is the Islamic propaganda machine. Despicable - as is the quote marks AP chooses to put around 'terrorist training camp' in their original lying allegation that she died in an air raid.

I say it again, kiddies. Every single thing you see should be considered a lie.

Anybody Got About 150,000 Vans?

'On This Tour I Was On They Were Literally Just Making Stuff Up As They Went Along'

..."While I on the Hezbollah side it was really interesting, I was taken on a tour of the Hezbollah-controlled territories in southern Lebanon...

...They clearly want the story of civilian casualties out, that is their thing that they're heavily pushing to the point where on this tour I was on they were literally just making stuff up as they went along. They had six ambulances lined up in a row and they'd brought reporters and said, you know, you can talk to the ambulance drivers. And then one by one they told the ambulance drivers to turn on their sirens and to zoom off, and people taking that picture would be reporting I guess the idea that these ambulances were zooming off to treat civilian casualties when in fact they were literally just going back and forth along the street for people to take pictures of."

CNN's Anderson Cooper, admitting live on camera that he has witnessed Hezbollah's staging of photo-ops in the 'Hezbollah-controlled territories' for the willing MSM vultures to gnaw on. How many shots of this completely and utterly fake moment captioned 'ambulances zooming off during an Israeli bombing raid' have appeared in newspapers and over the wires in the past few days do we think?

I repeat, every single thing you see coming out of Lebanon should be considered a lie.

Every Single Thing You See Should Be Considered A Lie

I really, really mean it. I feel ashamed that Bloggers like me have let these lying, evil media scum get away with so much for so long. See second 'rescuer' from the left, with his tasty bermuda shorts and baseball cap?

Hey presto! Instant dead person for the New York Times. For God's sake, the guy didnt even bother to throw his baseball cap away - its clearly tucked under his arm!

There are no words for how much I hate the media. Henceforth, every single image coming out of Lebanon must be considered a lie.

Al-Reuters: Rabbits In The Headlights

Al-Reuters, also officially screwed. The bastards are now in the spotlight instead of focussing it on the Jews, Bush, or anyone else they've decided to go after. And with the Bloghad officially declared...let's have a look at how Al-Reuters' (and many other MSM outlets) already poor credibility is plummeting downwards to absolute rock bottom.
Well for a start, there's newly designated and then fired 'Freelancer' Adnan Hajj, he of Qana fame. Power Line has another Hajj-related story, this time of a destroyed building which has been 'bombed last night' by those nasty old Jooooz on both July 24th and August 5th. My Pet Jawa has another, the second mentioned by Reuters in their statement.
However I think the main story here isnt Hajj's dubious photgoraphy but the fact that what is blatantly the same site has been accepted as two different ones by Reuters without even the slightest attempt at factchecking, and that Photoshop edits of quite breathtaking blatancy have ALL gone out over the wires with amti-Israeli propaganda captioning to match.
Global Picture Editor Tom Szlukovenyi says:
“There is no graver breach of Reuters standards for our photographers than the deliberate manipulation of an image. Reuters has zero tolerance for any doctoring of pictures and constantly reminds its photographers, both staff and freelance, of this strict and unalterable policy.”
Staging false photos remains perfectly acceptable though, needless to say. And hey, look here's the infamous rescue worker 'Green Helmet' - not a senior Hezbollah operative ordering the MSM's representatives around like puppets on a string at all, honest - in his natural habitat, pulling people who may be actual rescue workers away from bodies on a stretchers so photographers can get a better shot, eleven days after he spontaneously rushed around making photo-ops at Qana. (UPDATE: and here is again bless his hardworking little heart, schmoozing with the revolting John Simpson on BBC News...)
However, it isnt just old Adnan...Drinking From Home presents the unluckiest homeowner in Beirut - who is pictured by a Reuters photographer and an Associated Press photographer in the same outfit supposedly on both July 22nd and August 5th wailing about the destruction of her Beirut home - both ended up on Yahoo News. As you will see, Al-Beeb was using the same picture twice on the same page accompanied by a Beeboid 'report' (which is simply the supposedly impartial 'reporter' stating that there is no point in the Israelis bombing Beirut presumably because Hezbollah don't actually exist in his freaky purple-skied world) until someone picked up on the fact that it was circulating the Blogs and it has now been stealth edited in true Stalinist BBC style.
Now one of two things happened here. Either AP and Reuters were sent the photos on separate dates by their photographers, and one of them lied about its provenance - I should point out however that it is unclear from DFH's report whether either AP or Reuters presented the photos on double occasions as Yahoo did - or Yahoo simply lifted two separately filed images to make its own reports.
If the former, one of the photographers (Hussein Malla from AP or Issam Kobiesi from Reuters) should be fired as Hajj has been by Reuters, and the News Editors from Yahoo should stand up and admit they were either incompetent or deliberately complicit in perpetrating anti-Jewish propaganda. In the latter case however the photographers are blameless and it is someone in Yahoo News who has been incompetent or complicit to a degree which should in either case lead to their dismissal.
There is no excuse for this. None at all. These people - Reuters, the BBC, Yahoo News, have forgotten that their chosen professions are not just a job, they are a vocation. Carrying the News is an awesome responsibility, and should never be abused for purposes of crass propaganda.
So here's me, DSD. Calling the wrath of the Bloggers down on the heads of Tom Szlukovenyi from Reuters, incompetent or lying pro-terrorist bastard, I dont care. Calling down the wrath of the Bloggers on the Chief Editor of Yahoo News, who is apparently the exotically named Srinjia Srinivasan.
Email and phone Reuters, email and phone Yahoo. Complain, bluster, threaten to pull your Yahoo accounts if you have them or use their Mailing service or Messenger. Bombard the papers - the local ones if need be as the big papers sure as hell still wont carry the story...
This is a war. It may be merely a war of words, but in its own way it could be just as important to our future as the one Israel is fighting on the ground. For far too long we have let the forces of evil ranged against us set the ground for the great debates of our time - now its time to take that ground back.
(ADDENDUM): A commenter at Crush Liberalism reminds us that it was a Reuters camera crew supposedly on hand to get the scoop on the Haditha massacre-that-wasnt...

Qana Photographer Exposed Again - LGF Asks: Is The MSM Meltdown Finally Beginning?

DEAR REUTERS, MY NINE-YEAR OLD COULD SPOT THE DELITAKE MISBERATE...

One of the many Bloggers who has picked up on this story states: 'Adnan Hajj isnt even trying anymore'. I'd say the story is rather that the media itself isnt even trying anymore.

Reuters carries this chronically false photo, so false in fact even those of a decidely non-political bent have spotted its blatant falsehood. I did think it very amusing that one of these guys, a 'student/intern' from San Francisco just had to try and spin some anti-jewish ranting into the technical discussions taking place:

'The IDF has reduced many parts of Lebanon to smoldering piles or rubble. And then they bomb those piles again. I am having trouble understanding why a photographer would ruin their career over a photo that isn't very good in the first place, especially considering there is no shortage of buildings being consumed by fire and smoke in Lebanon.'

Perhaps because a) the photographer's career will be absolutely fine because Reuters are quite happy to spread false and/or staged anti-Israeli images over the wires unless they get caught out? Or even b) because the 'smoldering piles of rubble' are actually very few and far between and good old Adnan couldnt actually find any 'real' long shots that looked suitably impressive?

Our student continues though, not to be put off:

'Every morning, I pick up a copy of the LA Times, and see the outstanding work of their photographers are doing on both sides of the border. It obvious to me that there are moving pictures to be made there, if photographers would spend less time doctoring bad pictures in photo shop, and more time walking the streets of the cities of Lebanon.'

Both sides? Riiiiight...methinks the LA Times is spending 99% of its time on the Lebanese side rather than the Israeli. And I love the way this would-be professional doesnt see the possible link between a reporter doctoring photos to make the Jews look bad and...the same reporter doctoring other photos to make the Jews look bad. Our student also makes his anti-semitism crystal clear with the last sentence of his diatribe - scores of rockets launched against Israeli cities every day doesnt 'move' him - only what is happening when Israel strikes back.

Reuters have now simply 'picture killed' the photo with no explanation other than 'sorry for the inconvenience'. Not 'Hmmm, that guy snapping the pictures of suspiciously aged corpses in Qana has been making false photos of Israeli bombing, maybe we should rethink whether his work is for real or not', just 'sorry for the inconvenience' - the inconveience to the world of spreading pro-terrorist propaganda.

The thing about us nasty old rightwingers is that we are incredibly tenacious when we get the bit between our teeth. And some of us are extremely good at this techie stuff and not afraid to take down the big guys whenever we get the chance.

The MSM is in trouble now. This is starting to snowball, and now that bit is firmly clamped down between the Blogosphere's teeth, heads are going to start rolling.

Agreeing With Blair

I know, scary isnt it? But for once I cant argue with the man, for all that his rhetoric in this (as the Jerusalem Post puts it) groundbreaking speech is at stiff odds with his 'domestic' attitude to Islam. Let's hope this translates into proper action here as well, and not just as so often in the past, on the world stage.

This might just be the first stages in World War Three and as Blair says, it will not be a conventional war. And when I sit down and think, really think, the shocking truth is that right here, right now, I'd rather have Blair in the British hot seat than the alternatives.

Which speaks volumes about the terrifying farce that British politics has become.

Qana: The Lies Begin To Unravel

It gets better. Now even Human Rights Watch (remember them? Hamas has shown me some metal with '55' written on it, so it must be from an Israeli shell, honest!) are admitting grudgingly that the death toll from the Qana 'massacre' is actually half of what was originally splashed over the front pages of the world's media. What they have also let slip is something else far more interesting though...

“The initial estimate of 54 persons killed was based on a register of 63 persons who had sought shelter in the basement of the building that was struck, and rescue teams having located nine survivors,” Human Rights Watch said in a statement on Wednesday.

'63 persons had sought shelter'. Oh really. So lets get this straight then. Israel bombs the town at 1am, and 63 persons - all conveniently women and children - 'seek shelter' in the basement of this building. And they are 'registered' by someone in authority - for which read Hezbollah because the Lebanese 'government' sure as shit abandoned any claim to authority there a very long time ago - during a bombing raid!

Even the British with all their bureaucratic tendencies didnt find time to take names at bomb shelters during the Blitz...

So, we have 63 women and children all 'registered' in the basement of a building which is hit by an Israeli airstrike at 1am. Then, anywhere between six and seven hours later, the building collapses, with the women and children still in the basement. And the roof was still on!

Swarms of media arrive from Tyre at Hezbollah's invitation, despite the supposed 'fact' that Israeli interdiction of the roads in the area is what prevented civilians leaving in the first place. Leaping into action to earn their blood-money bonuses, our intrepid reporters spend hours and hours snapping the same bodies again and again, and when challenged about the oddity of those same bodies making it to an ambulance and then mysteriously reappearing in the rubble again, haughtily tell the world that they've got it all wrong and that, well, how dare they be questioned by us evil right-wingers!

The fact that every single one of the news agencies involved are still refusing to clear up this 'right-wing conspiracy theory' by taking the simple step of releasing stills of the films used with the timestamps intact (to prove their contention that the timestamps Richard North has delineated to us are indeed related to when the pictures were 'posted' rather than when they were actually taken) or indeed to release the intact video footage taken by their cameramen speaks volumes.

Dr North has the bit between his teeth now, by the way. He has really nailed the provenance of the 'iconic' photo of 'Green Helmet' in this excellent post, showing supposedly neutral Red Cross workers halting with a stretcher and taking their ease to allow a photographer to earn his bonus with some nice closeups of a body - which appears to be the same body Green Helmet is then seen parading around the streets nowhere near the scene and even holding up for the world's media after having a quick change of clothes, as seen in Dr North's original post.

Israel Insider meanwhile suggests that the bodies (only two or three have actually been seen by most of us by the way - the iconic photos have only been of a select few bodies you will note) are off odd appearance to have been crushed under the rubble of a building - bloodless, completely intact, no torn or twisted limbs - pristine even. The article suggests therefore that these bodies were brought in from elsewhere to provide a convenient photoshoot - now this is a bit much for me personally to believe even of Hezbollah but it is certainly very very possible - it is certainly not as if the Gaza Beach incident didnt prove that the Arabs are quite willing to shift bodies around to make a good photo op, just as they have done here.

Just one small point to finish - this was one Israeli airstrike on a civilian area which Hezbollah have fired scores of rockets from, all aimed at Jewish civilian targets. Hezbollah fired a grand total of 182 rockets at Israel yesterday, all aimed specifically at Jewish civilian targets.

A Fisking! A Fisking!

And so it goes. Via newly famous Blogger Tony we have a truly vicious piece of biased anti-Jewish rhetoric from the 'Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East'. It contains so many pieces of alternately vitriolic (when talking about the Joooz) and quaveringly heartbreaking (when talking about the Palis) nonsense that its difficult to know where to begin, but what the hell, I havent done a good Fisking for a while, so here goes.

Cue intro, where our interpid Episcopalians admit that during their visit to Gaza they didnt actually see any violence whatsoever, but that 'Israel has killed 121 Palestinians during a nearly month-long offensive in Gaza.'

Remember that figure. 121 - its going to be quite significant later. And whether any of these 121 are terrorists of course is not mentioned...

'The new Israeli policy has been to send out leaflets demanding people leave their homes, warning them that such homes should be bombed'.

Bastards! How dare they, you know, warn people that because terrorists are using their homes to launch rocket attacks from, they are going to attack the terrorists! The sheer evil of it all!

North of Gaza Governor Shammala appealed for help: 'The international community should protect civilians in time of war'.

Protect civilians? Well if you are in charge of Northern Gaza you presumably carry the can for the way Hamas were launching Qassam rockets into southern Israel the day the Israelis withdrew, and indeed have been ever since. Didnt notice you giving a shit about Jewish civilians when it was your side doing the targeting, you fucking hypocrite.

Cue more whining about the 'humiliation' of the Palis - unbelievable from the people who were parading through the streets in armed groups, firing AK-47s into the air and missiles into Israel the moment the Jews withdrew over the border and left them to their own devices. The only humiliation these people are feeling is the awful knowledge a bully has of his own vulnerability when his victims all band together and fight the fuck back.

Next we hear about the 'awful crisis' in Gaza hospitals - 200 people have been injured this week alone, the report states and they simply cant cope. Operating theatres are full, they say.

Let's clear this one up shall we? Firstly it is Hamas who have decided that its suit their propaganda purposes better if medical supplies do not enter their territory, not Israel. Secondly if hospitals in an area with hundreds of thousands of people in cannot cope when that area is part of the most subsidised 'nation' on Earth, the question 'have they been spending all the money on weapons to kill Jews instead' springs to mind. Royal Bournemouth A&E treats more than 200 people on an average summer weekend, and thats just one hospital. Surely there is more than one in Gaza?!?

Next we have a really nasty piece of vileness. This section is headed 'Use of non-conventional weapons'. What follows is some truly vicious anti-Jewish lies, with the only source of empirical evidence, as usual, the word of Palestinian doctors.

'The Israeli forces are using internationally prohibited missiles that contain chemical materials and burning metals...'

There is absolutely no evidence for this outrageous libel. None whatsoever. The 'burning metals' bit is obviously meant to evoke images of the equally false claims about 'phosphorus' casualties in Fallujah, though obviously we should take seriously claims of chemical weapons from a people who claim Israel is trying to sterilise them with food aid...

Oh, the report mentions, 39 of the supposedly dead were all medical workers of one sort or another. And shock, horror! Israel has denied 23 ambulances entry to the Strip since it all began as well as stealing bodies from them.

That means a third of the casualties the report claims to document were supposedly medicare workers - seems a little farfetched, but then its not like UN and Red Cross ambulance drivers arent into hanging with the terrorists...or even being suicide bombers themselves. Not exactly unreasonable of the Israelis to search ambulances is it! As for 'stealing bodies', well this really is nothing more than another version of the blood libel Islam has been perpetrating against the Jews for centuries.

Or maybe they're going airfreight to Gary Busey...

There's more. Under 'Collective Punishment':

'Since the election of Hamas, all people have to pay the price'.

Well even if it were true that all this occurred because of that election rather than, say, hundreds of Qassam rockets and the murdering of an Israeli teenager followed by the murders and kidnapping of Israeli soldiers, thats what you get for electing an organisation whose Charter calls for the extermination of your neighbours.

'Two days ago they were in Beit Hanoun. The Israelis were in several homes, they captured the families and for three days put them in one room with no food or water.'

For three days. Two days ago. These guys arent just crass propagandists, they are also sadly lacking numeracy skills, but doubtless its the Jews fault they devote their curricula to learning about how evil Jooz are rather than basic math.

Under 'Civilian targets':

'Everyone who moves is a subject for the Israeli soldiers to be killed.'

Coo, fancy that. All those Israeli soldiers, all that hight-tech weaponry being aimed indiscriminately at 'everyone who moves' and they've only managed 121 kills in a month. Funny how the Jews have managed to kick your sorry arses back to the Stone Age every time you've tried to wipe them out before, considering how bad their aim must apparently be if this were true.

And my personal favourite:

'Recently eight people died of sickness while Israel denid them entry between Rafah and Gaza. They were stuck between Egypt and Gaza.'

Newsflash you fuckwits. Israel doesnt control the Egypt/Gaza border. That would be Egypt's job. When you arent blowing holes in it of course...so we can add Geography to the list of subjects you don't teach alongside Jooooooo-Hatred then.

But why do 'people become violent, the report asks. Ah, because the Palis have:

'No money.'

Noooo, only more foreign aid than any ten countries in Africa, your very own unique UN relief agency, enormous subsidies from your Arab buddies...

'No Food. No Water.'

Here's a clue. When Jews (that would be the 'unclean sons of apes and pigs') buy you hundreds of greenhouses as a gesture of peace, don't smash them, burn them and loot them as a way of expressing your gratitude.

'No Schools'.

No, you have schools. Lots of schools. You just dont teach anything in them except Jew-hatred, martyrdom and and more Jew-hatred and martyrdom. After all, 'Killing a Jew brings you closer to God', right?

'No Land.'

So the complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza followed by all those peacful Qassam attacks you fired off doesnt count?

And now, the piece-de-resistance, my favourite bit, a paragraph which is so outrageously untrue that even a Guardian journalist might just balk.

'Hamas was willing to change its political program. It agreed to negotiate, to start to talk, to recognise Israel if only it withdrew to its 1967 borders, but then Israel began its invasion of Lebanon.'

Oh my. So Hamas was willing to change? All those statements it made saying how it wasnt were actually Zionist propaganda? And then it only murdered some Israeli teenagers and kidnapped Israeli soldiers in response to the 'invasion' of Lebanon even though it hadnt actually happened yet?!? Obviously History can be added to Geography and Numeracy on the list of superflous school subjects.

Right, thats it, I'm all fisked out. There's more, much more, but I'm sure you get the gist of it. The report ends with a plea from the curiously named Riah Abu El-Assal, whom I'm sure is a good Christian despite the extremely Islamic sounding epithet. It is only during that plea that the idea of 'restraint from both sides' is endorsed, so I suppose we can give him a mark for trying. But what this whole sorry excuse for a 'report' proves is that there are organisations throughout the West and the Middle East prepared to put in far more effort to kick the Jews than I did here in kicking the organisations - but that if we Bloggers are prepared to make the effort its a very, very easy job indeed to do so.
