No Dogs, Cartoonists or Rightwingers Please

May I begin with this short and to the point message to one Mr.Voltaire of the (it now seems) laughably named 'March For Free Expression' organisation, who intend to (ahem) march in London tomorrow:

YOU HYPOCRITICAL, SPINELESS LEFTWING TOSSER.

Right, that feels a little better. The fact that in the short time (three weeks for chrissakes) since I posted this expression of support for said Mr Voltaire's idea of a free, unfettered march for Free Expression the whole thing has deteriorated in one of the most disgusting examples of Leftist insanity and farce in political history. Support has haemorraghed away like blood from a decapitated guest of Iraqi 'Freedom Fighters', even to the point where financial contributors are asking for their monye back.

Why? Because of one thing really. When it comes down to it, 'Voltaire' (whose real name is the far more prosaic Peter Risdon is just another dyed-in-the-wool Leftist wanker. Of the worst kind. Since his noble sentiments began this campaign with such gems as:

"The free exchange of ideas depends on freedom of expression and this includes the right to criticise and mock."

Or the wordy but apposite:

"We abhor the fact that people throughout the world live under mortal threat simply for expressing ideas and we call on our elected representatives to protect them from attack and not to give comfort to the forces of intolerance that besiege them."

Then after I amongst others suggested in Comments that the event be made clearly non-Party Political to avoid partisan issues coming up we had this - "Oh, but no nasty rightwingers allowed.". The DSD Leftometer bleeped but as I had thought the BNP might well take an interest I was half expecting a message of this type, though not delivered in quite such a crass way. The Leftometer then subsided when organisations such as the Freedom Association and Sean Gabb's Libertarian Alliance (an organisation that has had the honour, nay privilege of appearing on this Blog recently) added their support, despite commenters calling them both 'racist' organisations. Another good indicator was that Holland's so-called 'antifascists' were threatening violence against the Dutch March, which seemed to suggest that this was the right side to be on.

So off I went on my merry way, got a little distracted by a new job, then came back again to see how all the preparations were going. And that marvel of modern engineering, the DSD Leftometer? It fucking exploded.

Get this: The 'March For Free Expression' has banned any depiction of the Mohammed Cartoons from the March because - yes, it might offend Muslim participants. As Voltaire hmself quite openly says, it is of no concern to him if people who want to attack the followers of Islam are upset by this, but it is of great concern to him that Muslims might be upset by people carrying the Dreaded Zionist Cartoons of Dooooom. You know, the ones which he told us a couple of weeks ago people should be free to display without fear of violence.

I have to think seriously that this whole thing may actually have been a windup from start to ignominious finish. One thing is for sure, this Voltaire guy has most definitely obtained money under false pretences, and I would hope he will have the decency to return the monies of those who have disgustedly asked for them back.

I am minded of the shortlived No More Censorship Defence Fund, formed in the US mainly around the Dead Kennedys 'Frankenchrist' trial. Now I was a huge Dead Kennedys fan in my misspent youth, and I followed the whole thing quite closely, lapping it all up, feeling very right on about it all.

Then I read what the No More Censorship Defence Fund had to say about Ulster. And Israel. And how whilst they stood emphatically for 'No More Censorship' what they meant was, actually, 'No More Censorship Of The People We Like, But Anyone We Dont Is Fine'. It just went to show, Lefties couldnt even organise a pissup in a brewery without checking all the beer was organically grown in a Palestinian commune by Irish terrorists, sorry freedom fighters, and that absolutely NO 'rightwingers' were invited.

So what are we left with now? A bunch of whiny Liberals who are as usual all for Freedom of Speech as long as it is only of the Politically Approved, 'non-racist' kind, and, and lets be clear on this, as long as it doesnt appear to 'single out' groups who might be offended by it. Unless they are White or Rightwing of course, in which case its fine.

But there are only two dominating, Mass Movement groups in the world today that actively suppress Free Speech and Free Expression. Islam and the Left. These people will cheer and applaud every time a BNP march is banned, and then in their next sentence complain about how freedom of speech is being eroded due to political intimidation. It is utter, utter hypocrisy.

So for all my small cadre of readers, I urge you emphatically and sincerely to boycott this March of Dhimmitude - and I have one particular fellow Blogger whom I admire and respect greatly in mind when I say this. Please do not cooperate in this piece of stunning hypocrisy.

This March will be a farce. In fact, it already became one.

Help me out here. Just what do you achieve by boycotting it? The only people who will ever know are people who read your blog.

The NSS are doing the stewarding and they have said they will not confiscate any banners showing the cartoons. Boycotting the demo is a childish over-reaction.

I am still going and I am taking my Danish flags with me. I will be out there for free speech on Saturday. What will you be doing?

Ok, to answer points in order.

1. They will know. Isnt that the whole purpose of a Blog?

2. I'm boycotting the demo because it has been made abundantly clear that only the 'correct' freedom of expression is the type that is wanted. Therefore it no longer serves the purpose it was supposedly begun for.

3. I'll be here in Dorset, nursing a stinking cold, playing with my daughter and continuing to spread the word about what's going on in this country to the biggest audience I can, through this Blog (limited though that avenue may be) and word of mouth. I won't be marching alongside the 'inoffensive to Muslim banners only' crowd. I admit it, I did want to 'bash Islam' exactly as Voltaire said we shouldnt be doing. Relegating the point of the march to warm fuzzy witterings about freedom without attacking its enemies is pointless.

Good point! Blogs are so yesterday, DSD. Don't you realise that all the really cool kids are signing up for politically-correct demos?

"The NSS are doing the stewarding and they have said they will not confiscate any banners showing the cartoons. Boycotting the demo is a childish over-reaction."

So don't you dare be childish, DSD. Remember, the National Secular Society will be around to 'steward' you to safety. Why, they've even promised not to 'confiscate' any banners that free English men and women might feel like carrying, lawfully, on the streets of England. Isn't that big of them? And doesn't your 'boycott' feel petty now?

"I am still going and I am taking my Danish flags with me. I will be out there for free speech on Saturday. What will you be doing?"

I can't answer for DSD, but, myself, I'll be doing what I always do -- Slagging off Islamopaths and never backing down an inch. What about you, PP? Oh. That's right. You'll be standing in the street, with 'moderate' (*smirk*) Mussies, waving an NSS-approved Danish flag that you know where you can stick.

Steve: Go to hell.
DSD: Keep standing tall. You are NOT alone.

I posted this at the March of (not so) Free Expression: no fascists please were british page as an answer to Voltaire's short sighted reasons for banning and defaming the BNP:

Voltaire said:

"The British National Party exists to secure a future for the indigenous peoples of these islands in the North Atlantic which have been our homeland for millennia. We use the term indigenous to describe the people whose ancestors were the earliest settlers here after the last great Ice Age and which have been complemented by the historic migrations from mainland Europe. The migrations of the Celts, Anglo-Saxons,
Danes, Norse and closely related kindred peoples..."

That's very clear, and entirely racist.

Nowhere on this site have we suggested that their freedom of expression should be curtailed. We simply say that fascists are not welcome in this campaign. That rules out the BNP and it rules out Respect/SWP. Whether or not BNP members who visit this site like that stance is not going to influence us. It is and will remain our position.

The BNP program you quoted may be interpreted as racist if you choose to do so.

But if you are excluding people with this point of view what about the myriads of immigrant organizations which are organized on ethnic lines?

What about the organizations for muslim police, Jewish police, black police, gay and lesbian police and countless others, which are organized by religion / ethnicity or a
mixture of both?

Immigrants have organized themselves by ethnicity / ancestry etc. This is all accepted and even Gov. funded in Great Britain! The only ones who are accused of
doing something improper by organizing by ethnic criteria are White Indigenous Britons / Europeans in general.

Racism is practiced by your own government and accepted and even stimulated by the government and so called anti racist organizations.

The reaction of the BNP is no different in this respect and a perfectly legitimate approach as long as this is tolerated from other groups. The BNP were not exactly

the first ones to invent this 'racism'. To deny this is hypocrisy. Judaism is a race based philosophy as well. Are you going to deny the Jews the right to demonstrate as well?

Some thoughts about the race, racism and related subjects.

Dear Balder,

You are absolutely right of course. There is nothing whatsoever racist in the statement Voltaire quoted, unless you are prepared to condemn every single racially-oriented advancement group in the country dedicated to non-whites, which of course Voltaire isnt. I cant say I would agree with all your sentiments on the subject in general, and certainly not the BNP's, but your point here was completely valid.

Ha! Inevitable I'm afraid. The kind of gits who will get around to organising a march in favour of a concept that should go without saying are always going to be Lefty tossers. It's just the type of people that they are...
