Dont Watch The Oscars

What a joke the Oscar ceremonies have become. With each passing year they become more of a monument to political correctness and Leftist moral bankruptcy, with every passing year the speeches become further and further detached from reality. Witness the Box Office failure of what will surely be this year's award-scooper, Brokeback Mountain. Witness Syriana, a piece of anti-American nonsense which will also no doubt be right up there in the top spots.

And then there's the appalling Paradise Now, the most blatant attempt yet to 'mainstream' the idea of terrorism as totally justifiable as long as the cause is just and the heart is pure, up for Best Foreign Film. Palestinian Media Watch has some rather less romantic and more, you know, real self portraits of actual suicide bombers and their motivations here. And as Atlas who supplied the helpful link puts it:

Well, yes they do don't they? Their victims arent 'Zionist oppressors', they are 'sons of monkeys and pigs'. Racism is the motivation here, pure and simple racism. Not politics, Zionism, 'legitimate criticism of Israel through self-detonation' or any such bullshit. Racism.

And Hollywood, as usual, is not only complicit in this racism but is up to its morally bankrupt neck in it.
